TG20 Compliant Structural Transom Unit

These prefabricated transoms are manufactured with integrated end connections which are fixed to both the standards and ledgers. As these connections are typically stronger than those of tube and putlog (single) couplers, it is possible in many cases to erect a scaffold with prefabricated structural transom units which do not require ledger bracing. Full guidance on their use can be found in the current edition of the NASC Technical Guidance Note TG20.

KEY FEATURES
  • Multiple lifts free from ledger bracing.
  • Available in three board, four board and five board scaffold widths.
  • Aids scaffold erection by setting the width.
  • No loose fittings.
  • Fast to erect – only 4 bolts to be tightened per unit.
  • Flush finish, no protruding tubes from the face of the scaffold. Safer, while being simpler to sheet and debris net.
  • Load Class 4 (3kN/m²) configuration possible.
Type and Weight:

3 Board – 6.4kg
4 Board – 7.2kg
5 Board – 8.0kg

  • Wedge device gives secure and quick connection to ledger tubes.
  • Extending section is fully lockable using a standard scaffold spanner.
  • Flush finish, no protruding tubes from the face of the scaffold. Safer, while being simpler to sheet and debris net.
  • Load Class 4 (3kN/m²) configuration is available for the main deck. Varying load capacities are available for the inside boards, depending on the extension distance.
Type and Weight:

4+2 Board – 8.1kg
4+3 Board – 9.0kg
5+2 Board – 9.0kg
